Family Camps - Camp Redcloud
Our family has discovered both a ministry and a vacation that are God-honoring, Biblically sound, and downright memorable and fun. We were blessed to be a part of 82 campers at one of Alpha Omega Institute's family camps this August in the beautiful mountains near Lake City, Colorado.
Alpha Omega Institute is a creation ministry founded by Dave & Mary Jo Nutting and is headquartered in Grand Junction, Colorado. They host two separate weeklong family vacations at Camp Redcloud where they provide creation teaching interspersed with worship, fellowship, hiking up 14,000 ft mountains, rappelling, mountain biking, ropes courses, horseback riding, canoeing, 4-wheel drive trips, fly fishing for trout, and the infamous powerpole! It's an amazingly affordable family vacation with Christian atmosphere through and through and even great food and accommodations.
Dave & Mary Jo Nutting began Alpha Omega Institute in 1984. Dave has degrees in both geology and mathematics. Mary Jo's expertise is biology.
Also involved in the ministry are Richard & Sue Stepanek, and Lanny & Marilyn Johnson.
There is a kid's program during the camp week that is second-to-none. The whole week is sort of like a mini-creation seminar, with slide presentations and in-depth teaching that is jam-packed with helpful information for home school and public school students and their families alike.
Tentative dates for next year's Camp Redcloud family camps are August 8-13, 1999 and August 15-20, 1999. Alpha Omega Institute also publishes a great ministry newsletter called "THINK & BELIEVE." Their address is P.O. Box 4343, Grand Junction CO 81502, phone (970) 523-9943.

Our creation organization's purpose is to get people to stop and think about this foundational issue, expose the deception & lie of evolution and its affront to God, and to contend for the truth of the Biblical account of creation to the acclaim of Jesus Christ.
