Is the Appendix Useless?
Guests: Doug Sharp and Rich Geer
Description: One of the central claims of evolution is that as life went through its progression of development, some of the organs and features began to lose their original function and became vestiges of their original purpose. The appendix is one of these that in the past was considered to be such, but now the functions are known. Jerry Bergman’s book “Useless Organs: The Rise and Fall of a Central Claim of Evolution” shows that this argument has fallen by the wayside with the discovery of the functions of all organs that were once considered vestigial.
