How to Tell the Real from the Fake

Guests: Doug Sharp and Rich Geer

Description: Federal agents are trained to detect counterfeit money by studying the genuine. So should we. The more that we seek after the truth no matter how it shakes out, the better we become at identifying false spiritual fakes. Sometimes the devil tells the truth, and it is because he will want you to reject it by his association, or to corrupt it. Jesus faced this in his temptation by the devil in the wilderness. You need to consider the source and examine the life of a person making a claim. Ask for the gift of discernment of spirits that is described in I Corinthians 12. They can be called out by their fruit. Fear, guilt, shame, lying, bitterness, rejection, envy, jealousy, occult, unloving, unforgiveness, accusation and addictions are all fruit of deceiving spirits. The ape to human fraud is an example of how science has been fooled by evolutionary fakes. Creative artistry is how the parade from ape to human brings an air of respectability to this obvious fraud. Examples like Piltdown Man, Java Man and Lucy are fraught with false conclusions. Dr. Jerry Bergmans’ book Evolution’s Blunders, Frauds and Forgeries documents many other examples.
