It’s not About the Evidence

Guests: Doug Sharp and Rich Geer

Description: I find it amazing that many people decide to reject the Bible and God, especially since we now have many creationist organizations that expose the bankruptcy of the Darwinian worldview and that the message of creation is readily available for anyone who wants to seek it. But for most people, even those who go to church, seeking a relationship with God is often the last thing on their mind. It’s not about the evidence for God, it’s the lack of desire to know Him.
Emotional reasons rule the motivation for most people.
Romans 1:16 reveals the start. They are ashamed of the gospel of Christ. When they do so, they reject the power of God.
Romans 1:17 They are afraid to exercise faith.
Romans 1:18 They hold the truth in unrighteousness.
Romans 1:19 They already know God.
Romans 1:20 The creation of the world is clearly seen. They understand it by what God has made, so they’re without excuse.
Romans 1:21 They refuse to glorify God and they are not thankful.
Romans 1:22 They profess themselves to be wise, but they are foolish. They are proud of their scientific achievements.
Romans 1:23 They make an idol out of nature.
Romans 1:24 They serve their own lusts.
Romans 1:25 They change the truth of God into a lie.
Romans 1:26-27 God gives them up to their vile affections.
Romans 1:28 They no longer want to retain God in their knowledge.
