Frogs

Guests: Ray Gates

Description: Ray Gates is a professor of biology at Cornerstone University. One of his specialties is studying the different species of frogs that dwell in Michigan. Frogs have many unique features of design that are not found in other types of creatures. Frogs go through a metamorphosis from egg to tadpole to frog. They begin life in the water like a fish and later develop legs and lungs to live on land and in the water. This is an amazing transformation. Virtually every organ and body system is radically reworked in a specific order so that a tadpole can survive while it is turning into a frog. A tadpole gets oxygen from the water using gills; it changes to a frog that uses lungs to get oxygen from the air. If evolution were true, how would a tadpole, a fish-like creature, mutate with both the ability and desire to drop its tail, get legs, get rid of gills and make lungs? It is inconceivable to believe that genetic mistakes reworked virtually everything to make this transition.
