- Dr. Norman Clothier
Dr. Clothier is an
instructor at Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac Michigan where he teaches
science and social science classes. Occasionally, he teaches a Bible class.
He has taught public
schools eight years and college 19 years.
He has a farm background prior to his call into youth ministry.
He has a background in scouting and 4-H clubs, both as a member and leader.
The Clothiers have a
background in youth ministry during their 52 years of marriage. They have
traveled in 30 countries and have been in the west studying Mt. St Helen, the
Royal Terrel Museum in Alberta, Grand Canyon and many other places.
In their ministry they use: Chalk art, ventriloquism, illusions, balloon
sculpture, stories and object lessons. They have been active in youth camps,
VBS, youth rallies, and banquets, since leaving the farm business in 1956.
Dr. Clothier has a Cable TV ministry on three local stations for the past three
years. He uses his illustration methods in this ministry and tapes college
classes in science areas.
His main areas are
biological science, archaeology, sociology and history and when it comes to
dinosaurs, he can make several out of balloons. He illustrates the days of creation
with chalk and balloons. All ages are reached with his presentations.
