Description: The Holy Bible, Wholly Bible, or Holey Bible?
In some of the modern translations of the Bible such as the Revised Standard Version, passages of scripture have been omitted, some of which deal with serious doctrinal issues. The Trinitarian passage of I John 5:7, the ending of Mark, verses 16:9-20, and also John 7:53-8:11 have been targets of textual criticism. There is a three-headed monster, centered around the exaltation of human reason over divine revelation that consists of historical criticism, textual criticism and Darwinism. These three have served to bias Biblical scholars into excising portions of the scripture they don’t like. Rich Geer analyzes the methodology they use to justify this, and finds it wanting.
