Junk DNA: The Lie that Refuses to Die

The ENCODE project's recent discoveries have found functionality related to the sections of DNA referred to as "junk DNA". They discovered that there are very important DNA functions related to genes that encode proteins related to regulation. These are workhorses in the human body. Some evolutionists dismiss this research because these findings are inconsistent with the evolutionary worldview. Over 400 scientists in 32 different laboratories have released their findings studying junk DNA and have published their findings in several different scientific journals. The sheer volume of information is amazing, hundreds of terabytes of data. One scientist involved in the project said, "We are now seeing the majority of the rest of the genome is active to some extent." Fortunately, this prompted more extensive research of the remaining 99 percent of the genome.
The evolutionary assumption that 98% of the genome is junk leftover mutated DNA not involved in coding held back research for many years. This is another case where scientists have ignored the possibility of intelligent design to the detriment of understanding the true origin of life.
