Chichen Itza
Guests: Doug Sharp and Rich Geer
Description: The Mayan-Toltec ruins at Chichen Itza are an example of a civilization that was technologically advanced with accurate astronomical observations, yet had a fearful religion that involved multiple gods and human sacrifice. This is reminiscent of what occurred at the Tower of Babel, and compares to many world-wide pagan religions that feared the signs of the heavens and did what they thought would appease the gods.
