Accurate Predictions and Biblical Support for the Hydroplate Theory

This part of the Global Flood Summit is divided into two parts investigating Dr Walt Brown’s Hydroplate Theory. The first discusses several of the accurate predictions that Dr Brown made based on the theory and the second investigates the Biblical support for the theory. Due to time constraints we can only take a rather brief look at both of these subjects but I believe that if these two subjects are both taken into account they lend a high level of credibility to this theory.
Regarding predictions, a legitimate theory allows us to predict unusual and seemingly unrelated things if we look in the right places and make the right measurements. Thus, the ability of a good theory to produce accurate and verifiable predictions is a powerful evidence of a robust and scientifically sound theory. Dr. Brown made around 61 predictions regarding the Hydroplate Theory and many of them have been confirmed to be accurate. We take a brief look at several of these confirmed predictions including those made regarding the composition of asteroids, the origin of comets and asteroids, that large volumes of saltwater would be found beneath major mountains globally and several others.
Also, it would be also of extreme importance that the HPT is consistent with the Bible. During this section we take a look into a number of verses of scripture that confirm the major assumption of the Hydroplate Theory: when the Earth was initially created there was approximately half of the Earth's water trapped beneath the Earth's crust and half of the Earth's water was on the Earth's surface. This arrangement is first described in Genesis 1:6 on day two of Creation and there are many other passages that also describe this and are consistent with this original created condition. In addition other passages also describe what would have occurred when the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the flood began as described in Genesis 7 and beyond.
Hopefully this presentation will lead some of to investigate the theory further and decide for yourself if this theory is a valid explanation for the Global Flood and if it is consistent with scripture. I believe that if you do you will be as amazed and as greatly rewarded by what you will discover as I was!
