After Israel and Judah went into the Babylonian captivity, they were eventually liberated by Cyrus the Great of the Persian Empire. The list of Persian kings was not recorded correctly by Ptolemy, and some chronologers used his dates and were 150 years off. New research shows that the timeline is shorter.
